This film is definitely not for everyone. My only suggestion for this film is: know what you are getting yourself into. If you are not a Key and Peele fan, or if you get easily offended, you might want to skip this one. However, if you are on the other side of that coin, this movie is just one long Key and Peele skit. It is full of outrageous comedy, a bizarre storyline and laugh out loud moments. If youβre looking for a movie with a great plot and an excellent story, youβre in the wrong theater.
The jokes go right along with what you see in the trailer and the laughs come often throughout this film. The acting is good but for me the stand out star is Keegan-Michael Key. Everything that I have seen him in has been great and this role is no different. The animation he puts into this character is outstanding. He draws you in for the laughs and has command of the screen. There are some small cameos that were nice to see but with its weak premise and lack of a real story, the driving force behind Keanu is the team of Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key.
Now, I am not talking down on the film because going in I got what I expected plus a little more. This was a good laugh out loud film with ridiculous situations and a few twists. Keanu makes for a great evening of drinks and a movie with friends. Cinema Wise gives Keanu a 3 out of 5.
