This is the end of an era. It took 22 films and 10 years to finish this story. Avengers Endgame has a lot of ground to cover. The film has a refreshing and new perspective on an old movie plot device. It is shot beautifully and has a stellar cast that truly drives the film. Endgame has a nice balance of giving each character their moment, whether it is as an individual or as part of a collective.
While the film is highly enjoyable, it is a bit predictable. However, it gives you the ending that most fans would expect and enjoy. While the film as a whole is entertaining, there are still moments in the film that I felt were not in service to the story. These moments are few and I can only count three in my mind, but they are there. Some of the characters choices or plot points are not my favorite or what I would have wanted for these characters that we have spent so much time getting to know.
Avengers Endgame is the right ending to a story that most of us have been watching since we were young. The film is a top notch cast and shot in the most beautiful way. At no point does anything feel rushed, and the moments that some would say could be trimmed are important character moments. The action is great and the fight scenes are well choreographed. Avengers Endgame is a must see in theaters and if you can sit for the length of the film, I suggest multiple viewings. Cinema Wise gives Avengers Endgame a 4 out of 5.
