Going in I was not expecting too much from this film. Just colorful characters, gadgets and cool aliens. That is exactly what you are getting from Men in Black: International. The film brings you right back into the world that we have come to know from the previous films.
The film does a great job of being a soft reboot, while still acknowledging the previous films. Well, at least one of the films. It has some fresh new blood with the film being led by Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. They have great chemistry that rivals their work in Thor: Ragnarök. The story moves quickly and has a lot of comedic moments. Some hits and some misses but overall enjoyable. The gadgets and CGI look great. However, the film seems to be lacking in big conflicts and that big turn and conclusion. It is a good palate cleanser but isn’t that dessert that you want.
Men in Black: International is a fun summer movie that is worth the viewing in theaters. The movie has fast pacing, and is carried on the chemistry of Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. Cinema wise give Men in Black: International a 2.75 out of 5.
