Zombieland: Double Tap is 10 years after the first film and you jump right back into the world without missing a beat. The mix of comedy in the genre is pitch perfect while expanding the story in a way that feels natural and progressive to an overall story.
The film is funny and has a great story line. The amazing zombie killing sequences are shot beautifully. The zombie sequences have a different feel to them and have great moments in each of them. The movie introduces a couple new characters and has no problems with poking fun at their own movie premise. While some characters serve the purpose of gags, the addition of some characters could further a storyline into a third film.
The casts chemistry is just as strong as in the first film and is a driving force. With what seems to be a great meshing of comedy-action and great characters, Zombieland: Double Tap is a great time at the movies. The best part of the sequel is you don’t really need to know much about the first film to enjoy the ride. Zombieland: Double Tap is a great time at the theater if you are a fan of the series. This is a great sequel. Cinema Wise gives Zombieland: Double Tap a 3.5 out of 5.
